The Experience

Wine Mixology is a concept that unites two very similar worlds such as wine and spirits, promoted by Oscar Diez of Bodegas Diez Gómez, a winery attached to the Toro Designation of Origin and member of the Toro Wine Route.

It is a unique and exclusive sensory wine and vermouth tasting workshop, in which you will discover the history and evolution of wine blends from their inception to the present day, enjoying the world of wine in a different way than usual.

In the Plaza Mayor, right in the heart of Toro's historic center, surrounded by monuments, bars, restaurants, and wine shops, we have two tasting rooms: our WINE MIXOLOGY LAB at Plaza Mayor nº 3, for a maximum of 10 people, and another right next door at Plaza Mayor nº 2, for a maximum of 50 people, fully accessible and adapted for all levels.

What does the WINE MIXOLOGY workshop include?

A tasting of various wines and the creation of cocktails using the wines tasted. We offer different formats and themes.

How long does the WINE MIXOLOGY workshop last?
We offer several workshops of varying lengths: 90 or 120 minutes.

How much does the exclusive WINE BLENDING experience cost?

The price depends on the day, the type of workshop, and the time of year (prices may vary for seasonal or special-themed workshops).

History and origin of vermouth: Tasting of the wines we use to make VERMUTTO + making your own wine cocktail + making your own vermouth, VERMUTTO tasting + snacks. Price: €35. Duration: 90/120 minutes.

2. WINE MIXOLOGY, WINE COCKTAILS.
History of wine blends: Tasting of 3 wines and making 2 cocktails with 2 of the wines tasted + snacks. Price: €35. Duration: 90/120 minutes.

3. WINE MIXOLOGY, BULLFIGHTING AND CINEMA.

Toro and its wine pairings inspired by films, series, and programs shot in the city of Toro: Tasting of 3 wines and preparation of 2 cocktails with the tasted wines + Snacks. Price: €35. Duration: 90/120 minutes.

4. WINE MIXOLOGY, MEDIEVAL WINE.
History of Toro wines in medieval times: Tasting of 3 wines and preparation of 2 cocktails with the tasted wines + Snacks. Price: €35. Duration: 90/120 minutes.

5. WINE MIXOLOGY EXPERT.
History of wines and their blends throughout different eras, mixology techniques applied to still wine, mixability, and a wine cocktail recipe book in the history of bars: Tasting of 3 wines and preparation of 3 cocktails with the tasted wines + Snacks. Price: €50. Duration 120 minutes.
